Session I of the 2023-24 season featured ABH squeaking by Benchmark Eye Clinic 3-2 in KHL Draft Hockey's first ever overtime championship game. Steve Rogers scored in the first minute to win it for ABH. Both teams played great defense and had solid goaltending. Congrats to the following players who'll be forever listed on the KHL Bucket of Champions and future Cup: Joe Bojanic (G), Dave Lesnau (C), Don Berninger, Harvey Ettinger, Kevin Ferguson, Brian Gabrielson, Ryan Gauthier, Scott Mussin, Steve Rogers, Jeff Shimizu, John Stewart will be forever remembered as champions.

Our annual Holiday Party will be December 18. We'll provide fresh pizzas and snacks after each of the three games. This year's gift drawings are bigger than ever! Bring an appetite and plan to hang out after your game that night! MUST be present in the rink to win a prize and the drawings will take place between the 2nd and 3rd games around 10:45 p.m. This year's gifts include 2 second row Motor City Casino Club Red Wings tickets, 2 two-night stays at North View Cabins on Houghton Lake, blueooth speaker, 6 dozen PRO V1 golf balls (one dozen per winner), and a few more prizes to be determined later.

Throughout the fall and winter we will host drop-in hockey games at Eddie Edgar and Devonaire every Thursday night. The skates will start at 10 during September (at Eddie Edgar) and 9:30 p.m. from Ootober to March (at Devonaire). Registration is now open for the upcoming season. Returning players have until August 11, 2023 to sign up and submit initial deposit (or pay in full). If you're interested in getting on the waitlist, email your request to info@khldrafthockey.com. Starting August 12th, waitlisted players may have a chance to signup if openings exist. The league starts Monday, September 11, 2023 and runs until June 10, 2024.
