This tournament finale lived up to its billing. Veteran Nick Schaefer and rookie sensation Ryan Doeppel locked horns in a classic pitcher's duel. Doeppel's riser was clocked at an impressive 88 MPH and he racked up 14 K's in 5 innings while making quick work of the Stompers' lineup. His lone mistake was a 4th inning opposite field HR to his counterpart, Schaefer. Nick also out dueled Doeppel on the mound, working around a pair of walks and 3 singles to K 16 en route to a well earned 1-0 victory.
